This is the only phone in which the System UI has crashed in my extended experience. Beware, the Xiaomi Mi A2 model, is actually a stripped down version of a regular smart phone: No SDCard Slot, No Stereo Socket, and only 48GB of the 64GB is available to you.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 gets the cameras right and is amongst the best camera phones at this price point. Also, the powerful Snapdragon 660 processor has so far been restricted to more expensive phones, making this phone a tempting option for someone looking for a performer on a budget.

Another method is to do it yourself by getting hold of a code or using a special data cable and software. However, you do need a fair degree of technical know-how to do so. It's not illegal to unlock your phone with either of these methods.

A carrier-imposed “lock” is a software code that prevents your phone from working on another cellular network. With an “unlocked” phone, on the other hand, you can get service with any carrier on a compatible network — and that's just one of the benefits of an unlocked phone.
