You can't track a phone based on its phone number. If another person has chosen to share their location with you in Maps then you can see it but there's no way to track someone without them knowing, for obvious reasons.

To track a phone number using Google Maps, first ensure that the phone's GPS is turned on. Then, add the phone number to your Google contacts and use Google Maps' 'Share Location' feature to request access to their location. Once they've accepted your request, you can monitor their location on your device.

Step 3: Click on the hamburger icon to load the app menu. Step 4: Select Your timeline, click the calendar icon, choose a date, and check its location history.
