A campervan, also referred to as a camper, caravanette, motorhome or RV (recreational vehicle) in North America, is a self-propelled vehicle that provides both transport and sleeping accommodation. The term describes vans that have been fitted out, whereas a motorhome is one with a coachbuilt body.

Most campervans usually have composting or foldable toilets where you have to dispose of the waste. Another more permanent option vanlifers use is a flushable toilet that holds the waste in a black water tank, which presents the hassle of finding a place to dump the black water tank properly.

Commonly known as camper vans, Class B motorhomes are compact, yet still feature a kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Class B motorhomes are small, streamlined and ready to roll. Nimble and more fuel-efficient than Class C motorhomes, Class B vans offer living space best suited for small groups.

Many tradespeople use their campervan as a 'work van' during the week and after a quick Friday afternoon clean it can be used as a campervan for the weekend. It's also becoming more popular for large families with three or more children to use a campervan as the everyday family vehicle.
